Windows 10: Wake from USB keyboard/mouse

Hello,

I am trying to make it so my windows 10 laptop will wake via my USB connected keyboard/mouse. From everything I read the main routes are to either go to device manager and right clicked on Keyboard, then properties, and then the power management tab, but none of my keyboard/mouse tabs in the device manager show the power management option to select "allow to wake". The only other idea I have seen is to go into boot BIOS and turn on "wake from USB support" or something similar, but I don't see this option anywhere in my BIOS.

Computer is an Overpowered LP3 laptop if that helps

Any ideas?

How to stop mouse movement from waking the computer?

Thanks lgentry. I have a Microsoft wired keyboard and a Logitech wireless mouse. Under Device Manager>Keyboards it lists two "HID Keyboard Device"s and the Microsoft keyboard. Unchecking the "Allow this device to wake the computer" for the two HID keyboards fixed the problem as you suggested. Weird that one must prevent "keyboards" from waking the computer to in fact prevent the mouse from waking it.

 

Mouse/Keyboard won't wake PC


I have a Logitech wireless keyboard, and it works perfectly with it.

I have checked "Allow the computer to turn off this device" with all my USB hubs. And set the wake up part with my Keyboard en Mouse.


Something else you could try is:

• Win-x -> o (Power Options)
• Change plan settings
• Change advanced power settings
• USB settings -> USB selective suspend setting -> Set to Disable

See if this helps. On my system, it is enabled, but I heard that some devices/drivers have a problem with this.

I suggest you to connect the USB Keyboard and Mouse to a different USB port and check if it works.

Also, plug your USB Keyboard and Mouse to a different system and check if it works.
