Windows 10: Wake on Lan option is no more visible afther Win 11 update

Hi,I recently upgraded my PC with Win 11 but Wake on Lan isn't working now. It was fine on Win 10 for years.I haven't change anything hardware, and after investigating various menus i find that the option "WAKE ON MAGIC PACKET" in no more present in the network card advance option tab.I already verify win 11 and card driver update, all the option in the bios MSI are un touch from previous configuration.

How to setup wake-on-lan?

Here is some info.
It seems Windows 7 supports WoWLAN (Wake on Wireless LAN).
But, your adapter has to support it from what I can gather.

Try googling WoWLAN and wake on wireless lan.

EDIT: What wireless card do you have?

 

Does Windows 10 Version 1803 Break Wake on Lan?

Hello,

I updated to Version 1803 on June 2. After the update, Wake On Lan would no longer work. It worked before the update. I have done the following:

• Checked for update to BIOS, and installed update to A21 for my Dell Optiplex 790
• Ensured that Wake on Lan was enabled in BIOS and Deep Sleep was disabled
• Checked for updated driver for Intel 82579LM NIC. No update is available
• Checked Power Management tab for Intel 82579LM NIC
  • Cleared all "Power Saver Options"
  • Checked "Wake on Magic Packet"
  • Cleared all other "Wake on Lan" Options
• Cleared "Turn on Fast Startup" in Power Button Settings

After doing all the above, I rebooted. Wake on LAN does not work.

Any help would be appreciated.

 

Wake on lan not working anymore

Hi,

Previously I'm using windows 10 and wake on lan works fine. But last year I do a in place upgrade to windows 11, then wake on lan never works again.

I tried all steps I found from internet, nothing helps.

Is there something changed in windows 11? and how could I bring WOL back to my PC?
