Windows 10: Wake Signal Successful but not bypassing bitlocker on Dell Latitude E7400

My organization has Dell E7400 latitude laptops that will receive wake signal from Verdiem Surveyor agent (our power management solution) but does not bypass bitlocker. We have other models E7450, E7470, E7480, and E7490 that all bypass bitlocker when they receive the wake signal from Verdiem. With bitlocker suspended or disabled the E7400 will wake as intended. Where the settings are available, the BIOS settings are consistent across all models. Our ATO states that we must have bitlocker activated and enabled as well as power management in place. Computers are set to sleep after normal business hours, wake at a specified time so that automated patch management services begin, sleep when those services are completed, then wake just before normal business hours begin. With the exception of this model E7400, all model laptops are sleeping and waking on this schedule and by passing bit locker as intended. All drivers, using Dell Update Command and via support.dell.com, are updated to the most current versions. If cmd powercfg -h off is used then the laptop does not sleep which is not the intended behavior defeats the purpose of power management. One big difference between the E7400 and the other models we have in house, is that the E7400 does not have an onboard ethernet connection. Dell Takes Business Laptops to New Latitudes

Inspired by close collaboration with nearly 4,000 IT professionals and end users, Dell today announced a completely new line of Latitude and Dell Precision laptops, ranging from the lightest ultra-portable in the company’s history to the most powerful mobile workstation.










The new Latitude systems provide breakthrough battery life, brilliant new design and style - including a choice of five colors.

Dell’s re-engineered Latitude lineup answers a wide range of user profiles:

• Ultra-Portable - Dell Latitude E4200 is a 12.1-inch laptop that starts at 2.2 pounds, making it the lightest commercial notebook in the company’s history. The 13.3-inch Latitude E4300 has a starting weight of 3.3 pounds1. Designed for road warriors and executives who demand maximum performance and light weight, the systems will be available in the coming weeks.
• Mainstream – The Dell Latitude E6400 and E6500, available today, are 14.1- and 15.4-inch laptops that start at $1,139 and $1,169, respectively. The systems are ideal desktop replacements for high-performance users.
• Essential – The Latitude E5400, a 14.1-inch notebook, starts at $839, and the E5500, a 15.4-inch notebook starts at $869. Available today, the systems include everyday features at a cost-effective price.

Personalize Your Latitude
Dell will offer colors for the first time on Latitude laptops. In addition to Mica-Brushed Metal, the Latitude E4200, E4300, E6400 and E6500 will be available in Regatta Blue, Regal Red and Quartz Pink (E4200 only) in the coming weeks. The E5400 and E5500 are available in Matte Black.

Dell Debuts 10.1-inch Latitude 2100 Netbook for Education

Dell today brings Latitude 2100 to little students and their activities in class. The new Latitude 2100 netbook is also well suited for any business or public institution that needs affordable, durable, Internet-ready devices for e-mail and collaboration. It harbors traditional netbook internals, with kid-friendly design, along with options for a carrying handle, shoulder strap, antimicrobial keyboard, and even a touchscreen LCD. A 10.1-inch LCD screen, an Intel Atom N270 CPU and a choice of three operating systems - Microsoft Windows XP Home, Vista Home Basic or Linux Ubuntu - give live to the netbook.
