    Clean install of W10 on a W11 Laptop

    Hi, my wife's laptop is on the way out. It was originally new with W8 pre-installed then upraded to W10 and activated. Question- if I junk that laptop is that activation then defunct? If I buy a W11 laptop I presume I will need to activate (register) it with MS. If my wife doesn't like W11 and I do a clean install of W10 will MS still accept the digital activation. Hope thats all clear. My first meaningful post and thanks in advance for any help.

    I notice you say download the W10 ISO, however I have W11 Pro so is this correct? Will this affect my installed programs? The W11 Pro was pre-installed on the PC by Dell. I have no product keys, etc, will they be needed (I think the activation state says it is activated with a digital license linked to my Microsoft account)? Obviously a little uneasy that I have to mess with the Windows installation on a brand new PC with no W11 Pro backup details.
