Windows 10: Want to forget a WIFI connection, but the "forget" option is not there

Hi allI needed to change my password at uni every six months is the policy.Usually, on my personal laptop then, I forget the uni wifi network, and rejoin with the new password.But this time... the "Forget" option is not there to select... so I am stuck. When I click the wifi button on the bottom right on the dock-thing, then click on "Manage wifi connections", then right click on the network... well, "Forget" is not listed as an option to choose. The only option listed is "Connect"... which fails, of course, as my password is incorrect.I'd include screenshots in here, but every time I try I

Windows won't forget WiFi network

I have 3 old Wifi networks that I want to get rid of in the list of networks. All devices show them in the WiFi list and when i click Forget, they come right back. When I go to Manage networks in Settings, they're not there, but still show in the list on every device. How can I get rid of them?

Forget a WiFi Network

Hi Jess,

Windows 10 saves a list of Wi-Fi networks you connect to along with their passwords and other settings. If you want to manage or delete a certain network, just follow the steps provided below:

• Type Settings on the search box.
• Click Network & Internet.
• Click Wi-Fi on the left pane of the Network & Internet window.
• Click Manage Wi-Fi settings.
• Select the network name and click Forget.

Note: Since you can't remember the network name you've connected with, you can consider forgetting all saved Wi-Fi networks on your PC.

Forget WIFI in Win 10 but appear again

Hi, I'm David an independent advisor and user just like you. I'll do my best to help you with this.

When you ask Windows to "Forget" a WiFi network you're telling it to forget the connection details (ie. the password) so it won't automatically connect again in the future.

However the name of the WiFi network will always show on your list when it's in range - but the computer won't ever connect to it once you've used "Forget".
