Windows 10: want to update window 10 version 1511 to version 1607 in 2021

I want to update window 10 version 1511 to version 1607 in 2021 . I try to update through windows Update option but it need more space in disk .So that i try to download 1607 version but when i start install it but give error that window does not support standalone modeI want to install net framework 4.8 so it is necessary to updates windows upto 1607

Windows 10 Version 1511 will not update to 1607

I too have been trying to update from version 1511 to 1607 with no good results. In my case I believe thwe Problems runs deep. All updates before 1607 installed fine. As a final try I formatted my HD and tried to do a clean install of version 1607 with no
joy. Tried to clean install on same computer and HD with version 1511 and went perfectly . This suggests that the problem runs deep and not due to rogue progrms like anti virus or other installed programs.

Update from version 1511 to version 1607 failing

I have the same problem as described by RadonRay. Made at least five attempts to update from version 1511 to version 1607. My last attempt followed the suggestions by Andre Da Costa. No success. I don't like to go the ISO path because it is complicated and
time consuming and may not succeed either. Dont know what to do next. Need help from the MS community. My computer is a Lenovo ThinkPad Model T430. Windows 10 installed on this machine without a hitch. I upgraded from windows 7. Can't explain why the anniversary
update doesn't install on this machine. Any suggestions?

 

Win 10 Anniversary Update does not show in Windows Update

One of mine is still on 1511, and that is getting updated, without 1607 appearing for download. I'm content, because I think I actually prefer 1511, since I've got them both to compare to each other.
