  1. Want to use USB - C port as audio output instead of 3.5 mm jack

I have a HP envy 15 with 2 lightening type c ports. My audio jack give alot of problem while connecting and often gets disconnected while in use. So I tried to use a type c to 3.5 mm audio jack converter and it works fine. It show up as USBAudio 2.0 in device manager. But the quality is not as good as delivered by audio jack. Anything I can do to improve audio quality?, Use some other drivers??. Need recommendation.

    :)

green 3.5 mm port not working

Right click the Volume icon in the Taskbar and choose Sound Properties. With the speakers plugged into the back Green audio port, choose the Output device as Speakers.
If this fails, boot into Setup (Bios) go to Integrated Peripherals and look for Onboard Sound. See if there is a separate setting for Back Audio ports, if it is Disabled, then Enable it. If all this fails, then the Audio Jacks, which are soldered to the motherboard have failed. You can get a PCIe Sound card or a USB Sound card.
As stated, you can only run one Sound Output device, so, if you plug Headphones into one Green output jack it disables the Speakers in the other audio jack. You can't have Headphones and Speakers working at the same time.
If the onboard Audio jacks aren't working, you can use USB. Under Sound Properties, you have to change the Output device from Speakers to Headset.

Is there a way to do this?

    Thanks in advance.
