I would suggest ensuring you have a backup of any important data before you start this process.

Which Do I Enable, PTT and DTMP in Bios to Upgrade to Win 11?

I enabled TPM 2.0. And I did the following to enable secure boot which I read is needed to enable Device Encryption:

1. If you want to enable Secure Boot: "Advanced"-> "Settings"-> "Windows OS Configuration"-> look for "Windows 8/8.1 Feature" or "Windows 10 WHQL Support" and set it to "UEFI".
   
2. Save and exit.
   
3. Enter BIOS.
   
4. Go to "Advanced"-> "Settings"-> "Windows OS Configuration"->Secure Boot-> set "Secure Boot" to Enabled.
   
5. Save and exit.

But after I rebooted I couldnt find Device Encryption anywhere. But when I went into System Information I found under Device Encryption Support and I need "elevation required to view." What do I do?

Re-enable Secure Boot - Dell XPS8930

I upgraded my Dell XPS 8930 from Windows 10 to Windows 11). After the upgrade, boot from disc and USB drive disappeared from my boot order in BIOS and were no longer available as boot options. Only UEFI Options were Windows Boot Manager (on my SSDD), Windows Boot Manager (on my hard drive), Onboard NIC (IPV4), Onboard NIC (IPV6).

I found that by disabling secure boot, the options to boot from disc or USB drive became available. Since I now know the fix, I want to re-enable secure boot. In the BIOS when I try to toggle Secure Boot from disable to enable, I get the following warning message: "Secure Boot is not allowed if the system in legacy boot mode." The Boot List Option is (and always has been) UEFI. The PC has never been in legacy boot mode.

How can I re-enable Secure Boot?
