Windows 10: Wanted - a simple utlity which allows me to move a selected file in Windows Explorer using...

This seems simple right? I have a file selected in Windows 10 and I want a utility to move the selected file to one of four locations using a hotkey. I need to do a lot of moving like this sorting photos. Do you think anything exists? I can't find it

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Hi,

In Windows 10, Details pane allows the user to view the details of a file in File Explorer. However, it only allow users to modify the Date taken information of the file. If you want to modify other settings of a file, you can right-click on it and then
choose Properties.

To be able to view the Details pane in File Explorer, follow these steps:

• Open File Explorer.
• Click on View tab.
• Select Details pane. It will show at the right side of the File Explorer window.

If Date Modified doesn't show on the options when you choose Sort by, we suggest that you perform this steps:

• In File Explorer, select the folder you want to have changes with.
• Right-click and select Sort by.
• Select More, then check if the Date modified option has a check mark.
• Click OK, then try to perform again the steps provided by Acelyn Alc.
