    Wanting to change the number to be locked by numlock


    I have an issue with my computer's keyboard. When I try to play a game, which would make my computer almost overheat, my number 6 on the keypad will keep spamming when I turn on numlock and when I turn numlock off, it would spam the arrow key. I tried to use regedit but did not work and tried to reinstall the keyboard driver but it still didn't get reinstalled. My computer also has no liquid or food got into my keyboard. So because I can't find anyways to stop the numlock, I want to change the number of the numlock to 5.

    Number Lock


    Has anybody actually rectified this issue? I've reported it to Microsoft in the feedback from start menu/cortana about a dozen times now and there's still no fix. All everyone keeps suggesting is to change these registry values which does not do anything at all.
    I have managed to get my numlock to be on on the lock screen from a fresh start up, but for every new app that I open up, the num lock will turn itself off, and every time that the computer resumes from sleep the numlock has been turned off again.

    Number lock

    Some motherboards allow the NumLock to be sticky on, You can use the following Registry Edit to have Windows keep it enabled. Enable NumLock on the Windows 10 Login screen/Lock screen It should stay enabled with the proper entry. Make sure you do not use the Windows 7 entry.

    Number Lock Problem


    My Dell has number lock enabled in BIOS. I have edited the registry entry 'InitialKeyboardIndicators' to end in 50 as suggested. Neither helps. It only works when restarting Win 10. Turning off the Fast boot option keeps the numlock on but seems to negate the highly advertised Window 10 quick booting feature.
    Any more ideas?
