  2. Did you look at the posts immediately above your post? I found a solution that fixed my problem with these errors. If you use restore points on the volume you are getting the errors then it might not be for you.

    Thanks, I fixed mine when I did a full install of windows 10 on a new SSD.. no issues since

    Well a full install would certainly create a new SVI. Would have been interesting if you did what I did and possibly save you a reinstall.

    I bought the SSD and full version of Windows 10 and have been putting it off for months it was time. wasn't interested in keeping the Upgrade so no sense experimenting on my system but I see your point for anyone else in the same position who may not
    have wanted to do what I did.

    The command vssadmin delete shadows /for=c: /all fails on my PC as shown below. Any ideas why? I deleted all restore points from the menu at Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\System then created a resore point mnually.

    Steve C, try to run it as elevated CMD (Admin) - Right-click CMD.exe and click on "Run As Admin."

    You will loose all your restore points!
