    warning on FB telling me to call microsoft, computer locked?


    Only on facebook and depending on what I select my computer locks up and a voice warning saying corrupt internet address and give a phone number to call. Is this a scam or real. Would appreciate any input.

    FB Ad link brings up Microsoft warning.

    Through FB ad link I get a Warning box on screen saying computer at risk with an American man's voice over commenting.

    The warning saying someone trying to access my private details and gives a list of what contacts sections involved and says not to close down as Microsoft will block me to safeguard it's own system or something like that. I have had this happen before with
    similar things on FB but I noticed something about Amazon appearing on the page too, but didn't keep it up long enough to see what connection they had to this.

    I just unplugged my WiFi dongle and it still kept talking then I turned off my computer. The phone number displayed on the screen is a NSW Australia number which looks legitimate but I am not taking any chances.

    Is this a similar scan that the USA bods got with an 800s number to ring? The ad I clicked on has gone off the right-hand side of the FB page, so I can't screen capture the exact wording. Feedback would be good as couldn't find anything on Microsoft's
    site either about this possible scam.

    computer keeps locking up...

    him your computer locks up.... check what your running and see if it affects it cause this shouldn't happen it could be your ram or your mouse but i'm just giving a suggestion

    Random lock up, in DESPERATE need of help.

    Lock ups can be caused by overheating, or sound failure.

    Make sure you update your chipset drivers for audio. Also tell me step by step of how you install your heatsink.
