Certain statements and actions from him echoed things she discussed. I tried to speak to someone on the phone from MS, but it's impossible. He directed the calls to her and told us we had to get cash out of the bank to resolve this, etc. He went by Albert Brown with an Indian accent. He also told us that what he was doing, in saving our computer, would not result in any payment to Microsoft, although the next day I did see a charge of $75+ on our account.

Hate to say it... but guess what... you shouldnt be trying to recover CDs that you dont own anymore. I know your intensions are honorable, but this is actually a help me pirate/hack thread.

I've had great results with all of the following (for recovering lost data, not CDs *Wink ):

• getdataback
• r-studio (recovery studio)
• EASEUS Data Recovery
