Windows 10: Was the system restore successful or not?

Hi. I am trying to restore my Windows 10 PC to an earlier restore point. The first time, I got the unsuccessful message but after logging in, I saw the popup suddenly say that the system restore completed successfully. I was confused by the contrasting messages so I figured that I’ll just try it again. I booted into safe mode and chose a system restore point but there was an error again saying it must have been because of my antivirus. My antivirus can’t actually be opened in safe mode as it is crashing so I’m not sure it was because of that. I tried again, even resetting the repository as I’v

System Restore not successful even in safe mode

Bill Smithers has suggested Revo Uninstaller which is a very good program for un-installing stubborn software.

Another way, ..... that is if you can boot into SAFE MODE would be then going to ADD and REMOVE PROGRAMS and then RIGHT CLICK the Lavasoft Program and select un-install.

Not sure if you have tried this method.

To address your concern, we suggest that you try to undo the restore or pick another restore point.

Please follow these steps to access system restore:

• Right-click (or press and hold) the Start button, and then select Control Panel.
  
• Search Control Panel for Recovery.
  
• Select Recovery > Open System Restore > Next.
