Windows 10: Was there a bad update or something? Cant get rid of code 31.

So before I installed my new Ryzen 5 1600 with the Asus prime b350-a mobo this week, I used to never have any issues with my USB ports. Last night I had trouble connecting my Samsung s8 to my pc and it wouldn't recognize. I did all the googles I could and all the solutions offered for code 31 and none of it worked.

Today I got the same issue but with my PSP 3000 now which is weird since it was working just fine last night. Anytime I connect to the PSP it shows the system storage which is like 12mb or something but not the 128gb sd card I have on it. I tried installing any and all drives I could but this issue persists and I can't figure out why.

I can't even install Linux on a USB (I wanted to see if I could evade the issue on Kubuntu) because the USB shows up as 3 MB instead of 4 GB. I don't know what to do left, I have too much storage to just back it all up and fresh install. I'm getting really annoyed as well.



EDIT: To clarify: "Code 31: This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)"

EDIT 2: Also for more clarification, Idk if it has anything to do with it but I run an unactivated version of windows 10.

If you have not installed from the manufacturer's website, search for the latest drivers and try to install them.

You can install Windows 8/8.1 drivers in compatibility mode if there are no Windows 10 compatible drivers.

Follow the steps to install in Compatibility mode:
