Windows 10: Was "windows old" deleted after windows update?

After a computer problem Windows11 had to be set up. Thereafter, all documents e.g. WORD and pdf files of the years 2021 to mid of 2023 could be found under windows old. After an update to current windows 11 version 24H2, all files of the years 2021 to mid of 2023 seem now to exist any more or at least I cannot find them anymore.Where all files stored under windowsold really deleted after the update to windows 11 version 24H2? C windows installer folder - Delete?

He can do symbolic link redirection and move the files in it to a different location. *Wink
Better try it out in a virtual of first. Just a suggestion.

Like:
First move everything in c:\windows\installer to d:\installercache
Then delete c:\windows\installer folder
Then type this in command mode as admin
mklink /d c:\windows\installer d:\installercache

Removing those installer files is a bad idea. it might prevent you from updating or uninstalling apps.

 

Win10: windows update stuck at never ending loop ?

When in win10:

• Update&security -> Windows update -> Finding update... .... .... ....

Planning to download the latest Win10.ISO (vers.1803) and manually update:
- Then wait that my ordered new SSD arrives and clone the old HDD to it.

 

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
