Just watched the HoloLens demo on a separate feed, the audience was gasping many times during the demo, like they were seeing magic, never heard an audience do that before.

I just realized that perhaps the audience was a Holo image itself and the audio was piped in via Microsoft, this all reeks of the same conspiracy that we never really landed on the moon.

LOL yeah, the audience were a bit cringe today with their 'woops', etc. Made I chuckle anyway.

In the book 'Sycamore', in the future everyone wears Hololens contact lenses, so maybe the audience were wearing them. That would explain the devices team dress sense, because if everyone's wearing Hololens contact lenses, your real clothes don't matter as all other people see are the augmented reality clothes you buy. *Smile

 

Now, this is what I've been talking about (in this very forum, numerous times) for quite some time... A phone you can use as a desktop. Yes, it still has limitations, but this is the first gen... in a few generations, this tech will be amazing.

Microsoft made 1 major mistake with all this. The technology is perfect, but it's too much tech.... Apple never introduces a new iPhone and a new Mac at the same time. They want people to have some disposable income, so they stagger them every 6 months or so.

By introducing the phones and the surfaces at the same time, they're making people choose which one they want... and i'm afraid the phones will lose out to the surfaces....

However, this should put a sock in all those apple fanboys that constantly talk about how Microsoft is just copying Apple. This is ballsy. This is brave. This is.... Sploooooooge. Geekgasm.
