Windows 10: Wattage

Discus and support Wattage in Windows 10 Graphic Cards to solve the problem; I want to buy a R9-290X for around $200 but 300 watts is a bit much. So can I get a good video card without it putting out so much wattage? Discussion in 'Windows 10 Graphic Cards' started by lostsoul62, Oct 27, 2018.

Thanks for the reply. So, if a device doesn't include its wattage in the title - like the 700 watt juicer - is there a way to tell what wattage it is? Would a 300 watt transformer be useful for most small household appliances?

How come you suggest not using devices designed for different grid-voltages? Are you saying step down transformers can be problematic?

    Thanks again.

  3. Monitor Randomly Goes Black - Forced to shut down

judging by the list (in the sig) thats 1 up from the bottom of the list. But that doesnt mean its not adequate for that build, age will also take its toll on PSUs.

It was already suggested to try another PSU, try on with the same wattage or bigger

Good morning all. I am staying the US at the moment on vacation from Australia. Electrical goods are insanely cheap here in comparison to Australia. I'd like to take some stuff home with me.

This is what I'm planning: For about $20 on Amazon, I can get a step down transformer which will step down 240v (which we have in Australia) to 110v. The "insulated power cord is hard wired with a grounded European Shucko plug" which will not fit an Australian wall outlet, so I will also purchase a Europe to Australia travel adapter. How does all that sound?

My second question relates to wattage, about which I know nothing. The transformers on Amazon come in 100, 200, 300 watt models. How significant is wattage for home appliances? For example, I saw a 700 watt juicer for sale. Does that mean it won't work with a 300 watt step down transformer?

    Thanks a lot in advance.
