Windows 10: " WBADMIN start backup " cmd EFT can be changed to NTFS in one Recovery Drv ?

" WBADMIN start backup " cmd

- auto backed up in EFT modeinto a NTFS external Drive whichis using to recovery the System,

would it again well recover the system safely ? Both modes using the one FAT.bootable ?

- is there any way to change this EFT image to the same NTFS as compatiblewith else before NTFS images ?

Use wbadmin system backup to upgrade Vista

Hey everyone,

I have a Windows 10 Pro system and a Windows Vista system. I used the wbadmin command in cmd to create a system backup of the Windows 10 C: drive. I saved the system backup to an external hard drive with NTFS formatting. Is there a way I can use my ExHD
to "overwrite" the Vista C: drive and essentially have that system look identical to my Windows 10 system?

1. One Windows license is for ONE Windows installation.

2. The hardware in the Vista machine is different to the hardware in the Windows 10 machine anyway.

 

Windows Backup with wbAdmin cannot be contacted after reinstall

Prior to my fresh install of windows 10 pro I had been wbAdmin to backup my C drive to a NAS.

wbAdmin START BACKUP -backupTarget:\\Bserver\nas1 -include:C: -allCritical -quiet

After the reinstall I started getting the error:

This will back up (EFI System Partition),(C,(\\?\Volume{5fd8aafb-61b1-462d-bfed-d633da5b505d}\) to \\Bserver\nas1.

The Windows Backup engine could not be contacted. Retry the operation.

The remote procedure call failed.

To try to troubleshoot I went into the event viewer and I see:

The Block Level Backup Engine Service service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 2 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 300000 milliseconds: Restart the service.

It seems this is the issue as it happens every time I try to backup. Not sure how to proceed from here. Any suggestions would be great, thanks.
