Windows 10: WD HDD Not responding

Hey,


Am facing a big problem with my hard disk, for the past days it has been working well until yesterday when I wanted to transfer some movies from another computer to mine, it copied the movies and stopped in the middle and got stuck. Now since yesterday 02/07/2020 every time I plug it in, it brings nothing, it shows Local Disk but when I try to click on it to open it freezes the computer completely.


When it is plugged in, the computer cannot even shut down or boot even.


Please help me out coz am stuck

Thank you for responding.

As you are able to see the drive under Device Manager, I suggest you to update the driver and check if it helps.

Steps to update the drivers:

• Press Windows key + X key when you are at desktop.
• Select Device Manager.
• Expand WD utility software.
• Right click on the driver and click on Update Driver Software.

Portable HDD not responding after plugged into xbox one

Hi,

My Portable WD Elements HDD 2TB is not responding after being plugged into the xboxone.

Still appears in the sys tray to safely remove device, drivers up to date etc.

To use external hdd in the xboxone you need to format etc for xbox, which was not done, and now not responding from the pc

Any one else find this ?
