    Windows 11, windows explorer does not see my WD Mybook 3tb external drive. I did a scan for new devices and nothing. The WD Drive utilities does see it. WDBFJK0030HBK04

    WD Mybook Application won't launch

    Hi James,

    Problem launching the WD MyBook application could be due to incompatibility or could be caused by a software conflict. Since you've already reached out to WD support, we would like to know the following to help us isolate and address the problem:

    • Were there any changes made or updates performed before the issue started?
    • What were the troubleshooting steps have you tried to far?
    • Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the WD MyBook application?

    In the meantime, please try to disable the firewall and antivirus software on your computer. Once done, launch the WD application again and see if it works.

    Update us with the result.

    WD Mybook 3tb external drive

    Windows 10 WD MYBOOK not recognized anywhere on my dell

    I have the same issue with a WD 3TB MyBook not showing up on a Windows 10 desktop. I have tried all the suggestions here without success.

    The interesting thing is the MyBook works on another Windows 10 laptop but doesn't show when connected to any of the USB 3 or USB 2 ports on my desktop. It DOES show up on the "Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media" as "Eject MyBook" but that is the only
    trace of it I can find. Super frustrating.
