Windows 10: We are having issues with windows 11 activation, devices no longer upgrade to Enterprise.

We are having issues with windows 11 activation, devices no longer upgrade to Enterprise. We have checked on the allocated licenses and conditional access policies. Microsoft 365 E3 licenses are allocated and windows store app is excluded from MFA conditional access policy. Please let me know if anything is missed here.

Windows 11 Enterprise activation issue

Hey, I have a problem with activating Windows 11 Enterprise on my laptop. The laptop was given to me by the university as part of a scholarship program and it had Windows 10 Enterprise pre-installed. I linked my Microsoft account to the laptop and upgraded to Windows 11 Enterprise, but the activation did not happen automatically.



I tried to run the troubleshooter, but it did not help. I also tried to select the option of "I recently changed the hardware" to see if I could activate it that way, but it did not show my current laptop among the devices. However, when I checked my Microsoft account online, it did show my laptop and the correct OS edition.



I used Show Key Plus to see if I could find the activation key, but it said: "MAK key not available". It also said the same thing when I was using Windows 10 Enterprise. I could only see the last five characters of the key.



Does anyone know how to solve this issue?

 

Windows 11 Home to Windows 11 Enterprise

Hi There,

I bought a laptop which was pre-installed with Windows 11 Home.

Our company received our latest activation keys for Windows 11 Enterprise and I need to upgrade to it.

I am battling to find any info on upgrading from 11 home to 11 Enterprise. Searching around I only found info on how to upgrade to Pro edition and one post suggesting that upgrading from Home to Enterprise requires new installation of Windows 11 Enterprise,

I already have valid and licensed O365, Visual Studio etc. installed and configured and would not want to redo all of it.

Will running changepk.exe with Enterprise product key successfully upgrade to Enterprise?

Will inserting the new product key simply upgrade to Enterprise?

Help on this will be appreciated.

 

Windows 11 Home to Pro upgrade

Want to upgrade 11 Home to 11 Pro. Tried download, but apparently files transferred were for 11 Enterprise. This will not activate; error is "invalid digital license or product key". This is on a new Surface. How to proceed?

Can withdraw/delete this. The suggestion to downgrade - listed below - with a 'fake' windows 10 key works.
