We are having multiple BSOD issues with XPS 15, 5440 and 5450 machines. I think I found what the common denominator is. I checked Event Viewer and saw that during the time of the BSOD there are several IPF errors. I updated the BIOS and IPF driver and so far, things are looking fine. Are there a known issues with IPF and BSOD with newer Dell Laptops?

Workgroup Windows 10 and XP machines no longer see each other

My 4 machine workgroup network, 2 XP and 2 Win 10 machines, was functioning fairly well until the recent "Creator" upgrade. Now the XP machines can no longer see the 10 machines and the 10 machines can't see the XP machines. The machines of the other OS are not listed. Would like to get the workgroup functional again. Have done multiple reboots and have run the suggested troubleshooters with no results. Have any ideas?

ntoskenl.exe I have attached 5 dump files from a single machine showing the issue but can pull others from another machine if needed. all the machines are different and they are all running 10 Pro. this happens with a clean install as well as the existing
    machines

Dell Xps 15 9560 BSOD when unplugging from WD15 Dock, error System_thread_exception_not_handled, failed: usbxhci.sys

    Hi

    Welcome to Microsoft community.

I understand the BSOD issue you're experiencing when unplugging your Dell XPS 15 9560 from the WD15 Dock. The error "System_thread_exception_not_handled" and the file "usbxhci.sys" that failed indicate that the issue is related to the USB 3.0 driver.

Here are some suggestions that you might find helpful:

    1. Update Your Dock Firmware: Dell regularly releases firmware updates for their docks. Visit the Dell Support website, enter your service tag or product ID, and check if there's a firmware update available for your WD15 Dock.
    2. Update USB 3.0 Drivers: Visit the Dell Support website and update the USB 3.0 drivers for your Dell XPS 15 9560.
    3. Update BIOS: Check if there are any BIOS updates available for your Dell XPS 15 9560. BIOS updates can often resolve hardware compatibility issues.
    4. Disable Power Management of the USB Root Hub: Go to Device Manager > Universal Serial Bus Controllers > USB Root Hub (USB 3.0) > Properties > Power Management, and uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power".
    5. Check for Windows Updates: Make sure your system is up to date with the latest Windows updates.
    6. Contact Dell Support: If the issue persists after trying the above steps, it would be best to contact Dell Support for further assistance. They might have more specific troubleshooting steps for your particular model.
Please feel free to let me know if you have any further updates, thanks.

    Best regards
