Cannot modify Task Bar settings

I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if the issue persists.

• Right click on the Task Bar.
• Uncheck the option " Lock the Taskbar."

What happened to the individual tiles in the task bar? How can I get them back?

What happened to the little tiles that appear in my task bar for Windows 11? A new tile would appear in my task bar for each file that I had opened. Example. if I had four MSWord files open, I would see four tiles in my task bar one for each Word file that was opened. Likewise in Excel, Adobe Reader, etc. It made it very easy to pick which file I need open at any given time.

How do I set up my task bar for this? Please Microsoft, let's not change things that actually work well! Right clicking on the task bar does not bring up the properties. how can I bring up the properties?

I apologize for the inconvenience. There is no much option to modify to delete the task bar, I would like to request you to post you feedback in the Windows 10 Feedback app.

You can the pin the tiles to task bar.

To change the background colors, I suggest you to follow the below steps.

- Click start menu.

- Click settings > Personalize.

You have your backgrounds, background colors and the accent colors. Your tiles will use the background color of your application. This is specified in your Manifest in the first Tab.
