Windows 10: "We can't activate Windows on this device at the moment. You can try activating again...

Hello,

For some reason my computer has started displaying an 'Active Windows - Go to Settings to activate Windows' watermark today I have had the device for a couple of years now and this has never happened before. The device came with Windows 10 Home pre-installed and I have don't nothing to meddle with this as far as I'm aware and have no clue why this message has started being displayed.

When I go to Settings and run the Troubleshoot feature, it detects activation problems then tells me that 'We have found a Windows 10 Home digital license for this device running Window 10 Home' and then asks me to activate using this digital device by clicking 'Upgrade your edition of Windows'.

When I do this and then click 'Start', I get an error that says 'Unable to upgrade your edition' and 'We can't activate Windows on this device at the moment. You can try activating again later, or go to the Store to buy genuine Windows. 0xc004f01f'.

I have also clicked 'Change product key' and entered my product key that way. This gives me the same error as the Troubleshoot method.


What can I do to resolve this issue?

Windows activation . . .

In the Windows activation status page is it still showing as activated, or do you have something like 3 days to do it in?

 

Windows Vista Activation

I have 4 sytems in my home running vista(1 ult.-3 prem).The ultimate & 1 premium took SP1
wthout a hitch.1 premium required re-activation?,The other premium did not list SP1 in windows up-date,So i manually installed it without any re-activation required.
Also have to add that SP1 has increased performance in every comp.The ultimate machine actually got a 1,100 point increase in 3d 06 without any other changes at all.

 

Windows 10 will not activate Error code 0x803F7001
