Windows 10: We can't connect to your Android devices because you are trying to access to the...

I got a oppo xfind8 phone CN rom, but I am in the USA and using wifi. When I open Link to Phone on my Window 11, I see We can't connect to your Android devices because you are trying to access to the application outside China and currently, we don't support roaming areas.It doesn't show the messages on the phone but when I call , it shows the UI of the call on the laptop.I want to be able to see messages and notifications from the laptop. Please help!

Laptop doesn't recognize connected android device.

We appreciate your effort on this. We understand that when you connect your Android device to the computer it is not recognized, we will look into this for you.



As per the description, the Android device only charges when you connect it to the computer. Hence, we would like to know if you see any Unknown device in Device Manager. Refer the steps mentioned below:

1. Press Windows key + X, and select
   Device Manager.
   
2. In Device Manager window, check if there is a section of
   Unknown device.
   
3. If you see Unknown device, right click on it and select
   Update Device.
   
4. If prompted, restart the computer.
   

I would also suggest you to follow the steps from the article Error:
“USB Device not recognized” when you try to access a USB external hard drive except Method 2 and see if that makes any difference.

Unable to connect android device to PC using tio micro USB cable

• What happens when you connect the Android device to the computer?
  
• Do you receive any error message/code? If yes, what is the error message/code?
  

In the meantime, I suggest you to try connecting the device to a different USB port and see if that helps.

OneDrive Personal Vault - accessing from Android device

I am trying to access my OneDrive Personal Vault using my Samsung Galaxy S10 smartphone.
Whatever I try I end up with a screen telling me to create a Personal Vault, rather than opening the existing one, which was in fact the 'starting point'.

Steps taken:
- sign in using my Outlook account
- select verification method (send a code to my gmail account)
- paste that into the verification screen

After clicking [Verify] I get this "Create a Personal Vault"-screen.

Any suggestions?
