Windows 10: We can't install some updates because other updates are in progress

Hi all

I've been having this error in Windows Update running the last slow ring build 14986.

I tried all the workarounds in [FIX] We Can't Install Some Updates Because Other Updates Are In Progress to no avail.

Have you guys had this problem in the past?

Sorry...Not Mike, that's a name from another program. PA BEAR!!

Defender Shows 1.225.1845.0. for both definations dated 7/18/2016.

Computer seems to be working fine now.

As for Malware bytes it been on the computer just a few weeks....Although it's found nothing on that computer, it has saved me a lot of times on this Windows 7 computer, by blocking questionable websites. It will allow you to over ride it; if you want to
do.

I don't know about Adobe Flash player ..if it's even on the computer or not.. It's on this one..

This is the message on Windows 10 Settings.... "Restarting may help:..We'll keep trying"

What in the world is wrong here?

 

You could try the following....whether it covers what is a Beta O/S is open to speculation.

Were on a learning curve here so bear with me.

Can you navigate to
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\TrustedInstaller\Start

in the right hand pane

START Reg-DWORD 0x0000003 (3)
Whats yours showing???

in previous versions of the OS 4 or greater means its confused, (user action required)
3 is default - no actions required
2 is Update pending.

There is no Services once I navigate to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control.

Can this be a problem?

Hey Roy, that's the best answer (way forward) I have gotten so far. Thanks so much. I will keep researching what Windows Update that belongs and reinstall!

Dont think its an update, as such, Arabic language pack, OCR-ar-sa

So the next question what version are you running, Home---- etc?
Have you got that pack installed, if so uninstall it
REBOOT

try updating.

Next if your version supports language packs and you need it, repair corrupt table

Hi Roy, I don't have an Arabic language at all. I only have English (Australia).

I have Windows 10 Pro.

I am not exactly sure what to do with the spreadsheet. The content of the spreadsheet is all Microsoft-Windows-LanguageFeatures-Fonts-*.cab. Error however is the Microsoft-OneCore-DeveloperMode-Desktop-Package.cab?
