Windows 10: We can't send a text to this number

HiI'm trying to unlock an account with a code but I need getting the same red message no matter what number I choose to write down. There is no alternative to send via email either.How do I get the account fixed

Unless someone else has found a different way, all I do is copy the mobile2 number and go to messaging and add a new text message and paste the mobile2 number. So, suggest putting in as a feature request.

 

I can receive texts but cannot send any texts.

Does it happen on every text you try to send?

If you are in a different area (so it is a different cell tower) will it work?

What device do you have?

What is the OS?

Have you gone to your cell provider and asked if there is an issue?

Is the number you are trying to send a text to listed as a contact and is the number listed as "mobile" ?

Try this:

Turn off International assist

• Go to Settings > Applications > Phone.
• Turn off International assist.

If that does not work then see if this helps:

Change your mode from LTE & CDMA to CDMA

• Go to Settings.
• Now go to Cellular.
• Find Mode Selection option and change it from LTE & CDMA to CDMA.

After doing this you should be able to send text messages.

The last thing I would suggest is to perform a factory reset

This is the last solution if nothing else works.

If I say "send text message" Cortana asks who I would like send it to. If I say "555-1234" Cortana says "I'm sorry, I don't have a mobile number for 555-1234." THis implies I need to have a contact saved for everyone I text. This is not possible while
driving. Also, sometimes I text one time and don't need the number in my contact list.
