    We close our Laptop's and it's takes a Long Time to re-start


    My wife and I both have HP laptops that has Win 7.... We upgraded to Win 10 and now every time we close or they time out and shut off. It takes a REAL long time to re-start... The ON button is always lit and the WiFi light remains on I had to hold the off button on my wife's and do a force shut down in order to get hers to start back up.....

    Hi,

    I would suggest you to try the methods and check if it help.

    Method 1: Perform System File Checker.

    System File Checker is a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files.

    To perform SFC scan, refer the link below.

    Method 2: DISM.

    Follow the steps to Run DISM Commands:

    1) Press Windows + x on your keyboard.

    2) Select Command prompt (Admin) to open Administrator Command Prompt .

    3) In the Administrator: Command Prompt window, type the following commands. Press the Enter key after each command:

    dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth

    dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

    Photos screen saver takes a long time to start

    I'm afraid that didn't help. I had the waiting time already set to 1 minute, and increasing it (to 3 minutes) didn't seem to have any impact on how long it takes between the screen going blank and the first picture of the screen saver to show.
