Windows 10: We couldn't install this update. Error 0x80073712.

Today I tried to update the following: Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 10 Version 21H1 for x64-based Systems KB5005101However, whenever I tried to install, it failed and returned error code 0x80073712.Looking on the Internet, it seems that my laptop's files are either missing or corrupted and it is suggested that I run SFC and DISM tools. I ran SFC /scannow and found that my files are reported to be corrupted. However, the DISM CheckHealth and RestoreHealth didn't work and stated that: "Error: 4448The WOF driver encountered a corruption in the compressed file's Resource Table."I just h

Update KB4550961 couldn´t be installed

Hi! I´ve tried hard to install KB 4550961 unsuccessfully. Even run this or that in order to correct whatever the problem might be.

However, after restart it appears “Updates couldn’t be installed” on the screen. Running Scannow and Restorehealth as Administrator didn´t
work either.

I´ve also gone step by step thru “Fix Windows Update errors” steps 1 to 5. I´m reluctant to follow Step 6 Reset or Reinstall Windows –
Refresh is not included - because I´m afraid I might loss some stuff important, though I created a restoration point and a USB recovery drive, just in case.

This error 0x80073712 usually appears when the Component-Based Servicing is corrupted.

System File Checker (SFC) tool to check and repair damaged Windows files. You may also proceed with running the
Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM) tool if the issue persists. Check out
