Windows 10: We have customers not able to recover their accounts because Some idiot decided that the...

We have had several instances of clients not able to reset their passwords because the dialog wants to send a text to their landline. This recently happened to my wife as well with the dialog wanting to send a text to our office phone! Whoever changed the dialog MUST BE FIRED!!!!!!! PLEASE fix this and let us know you have fixed it ASAP!


Also let us know if disciplinary action was taken as this hasaffected mostly elderly and disabled people who cant take action on their own and are therefore locked out permanently!

Remove account

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

Restore local account ?

I would suggest you to check if your old account is displayed in the list of Manage Accounts.

Follow the below steps to check:

• Right click on the Start button and select
  Control Panel.
• Click on the User Accounts.
• Click on Manage Accounts and check if you are able to view your old account.

If you’re old account is not present in the Manage Accounts list then, you may not be able to recover the old account. If you’re old account is present in the Manage Accounts list then you can find that account on the bottom left
corner on the Lock screen.
