I am detailing you the issue,We migrating the old DC Windows 2012 R2 Std. to new DC Windows 2022 Datacentre and follow the below process,Old Infra having DC and ADC.We created one new ADC from old DC to New infra.Then Migrating the FSMO role from old to new DC.All users and policies are migrated successfully from old to new DC. When we shut down the old DC then domain user are not able to log in to new domain.

Migrate DC to 2016 for Exchange 2013

Dear All,

I have Active directory with these details:

two Domain Controllers one of them has Windows 2008 R2 and another DC is has Windows 2012 R2, and I Have Exchange 2013 with DAG and windows 2012 R2.

If I need to Install a new Domain Controller with Windows 2016, can I install it simply by DCPROMO or need any update or batches??

active directory remove on old server 2012 R2 ( New server become master Windows 2019

Hello Team,



We are facing an issue on the servers. As of now, both servers are running user profile loads on random servers.



So I have GC/infrsture master/pid/site active dc configured for the new server.



So I can remove AD on the old server 2012 R2 either online or offline. Due to ad migration from the old to the new server, the Multipulf GPO object is already visible on the new server.



Give me suggestions for the same.

 

How to add Windows 2012 R2 as new domain controller in the existing Windows 2008 R2 domain.

In our environment we had three domain controller as single forest and all the servers on windows 2008 R2, one is located at branch office in different region, two at Head Office among which one is PDC. Additional DC has crashed today ( Hardware failure),
now i am planning to have Windows 2012 R2 DC on new Hardware. kindly suggest the best practice to achieve this. kindly note i had Wins and Certification authority also on the crashed server.
