Windows 10: weather option instead of weather and more option in lock screen status

In my laptop, windows 11, in the lock screen status options, i am given weather option instead of weather and more. why is it so?

If you want to add weather app in the lock screen follow the below steps and check if it helps.

Step 1: Turn on notifications in PC Settings. (This should be on by default.)

• Open the Settings Charm.
• Tap or click Change PC settings.
• Tap or click Notifications.
• Slide the Show app notifications and Show app notifications on the lock screen switches to On.

Step 2: Add the Weather app to lock screen notifications

• Open the Settings charm.
• Tap or click Change PC settings.
• Tap or click Personalize.
• In the right pane, with the Lock screen tab selected, under Choose apps to run in the background… tap or click one of the “plus” symbols and select Weather.

Then under Choose an app to display detailed status, tap or click the icon beneath it and select Weather.

I suggest you to follow the Steps to set your default location and check if that helps.

1. Type Weather on search and click on setting (Gear icon)

2. Select your location and set as default.

Follow the Steps to set Weather app in lock screen.

• Type Lock screen setting in Search.
• Under Choose an app to show the detailed status.
• Select Weather; restart your computer

Lumia 1520 Weather on Glance Screen

I was having the same issue on my 928 after I had to do a phone reset (Outlook email stopped syncing). Anyway, glance weather was working prior to the reset but not after.

My phone does not even have a SD card option, so I knew that was not my issue.

Here is how I got it working again. I am not sure if all the steps are necessary, but it did the trick for me:

• Change lock screen app to something other than Weather
• Restarted phone
• Uninstall Weather App
• Restart
• Install Weather App and run it
• When it asked if I wanted to set it as the lock screen App I said yes
• Restarted phone
• Works now

I am guessing it has something to do with the order in which the Weather app and the Glance/Lock screen updates occurred after I did the reset or maybe it was the prompt in Weather to be the lock screen app?
