Windows 10: "Web Camera" app storage location

Split from this thread. Hi Chandy, I seem to be going over the same ground with this question! At present, all my videos and photos taken with my "Web Camera" app are saved to the "new" Photo app which I am pleased with If I wasn't using this app the only other place they are stored on my PC are in Camera roll in "D" drive! I only found by chance today when the Camera roll in "C" drive was empty! I thought at the time why "D" drive? I am sure before the new "Photo" app came out they where saved to Camera roll "C" ! It crossed my mind that people would be looking high and low for them! Is

In most of the cases the device drivers will be listed under its respective category in
Device manager. All the drivers of the devices attached to or mostly will be used on the PC will be listed under
Device manager. The device will not function if the driver of the respective device is not installed on the computer.



Check if the camera drivers are listed in Device manager by following the steps below:

• Press Windows logo + X keys on the keyboard and select
  Device manager from the context menu.
• Expand the option where WebCam drivers may be located and check if the drivers are present.
• If present, right click on the driver and select Update this software from the context menu.
• Follow the on-screen instructions and wait for the update to complete.
• After the update is complete, close the window and check if the changes are effective.

Photographs saved in camera roll not showing location

I, too, have lost this particular functionality.

I have the 950. At first, the location was saved with photos, but no longer.

I have reviewed all the privacy and location settings I can think of. Everything is enabled. I have tried the soft reset suggested by Jose, and that has made no difference.

Here's the settings I've checked:

• Privacy Settings
  • Location Settings
    • Location = "on"
    • Relevant Apps set to access location:
      • Blink
      • Camera
      • Cortana
      • Lumia Creative Studio
      • Lumia Motion Data
  • Camera Settings
    • Let apps use my camera = "on"
  • Background Apps Settings
    • Windows Camera = "On"

I can't find anything else that affects the camera and its access to location data.

Can anyone help?

 

Web Camera is not working

I assume by your comment "black screen appears in video call", you are experiencing problems in other camera apps as well, possibly Skype. If your camera isn't working in any applications this is indicative of a camera driver issue. Please try the steps
listed here to resolve your issue:

If your issue isn't resolved after running the steps, please report back with your camera make and model and the driver information you aquire from step 3.
