Windows 10: Web Camera Not Being Detected

Hi all! I'm having an issue with webcams not being detected; I tried 3 different cameras, which all worked some time ago (I last used my webcam around May for online school, and now that I'm back to distance learning I really need to figure this out). The camera app isn't detecting the camera and is giving me different errors, but the one it gives me the most is that the camera is reserved by another app. That's when I noticed that the cameras still work in discord, which was really weird. I thought that maybe discord was reserving it, but I turned off the auto start with windows, restarted a couple of times, but no effect; tried even uninstalling discord but still no change.

My Windows version is 10 Pro, 10.0.19041



My other specs if they would help:

B450 AORUS PRO

Ryzen 3 3300x

2 x 8 GB RAM 3200Mhz

GTX 1060 3GB (i'm aware of the bottleneck it's causing, will be getting a new one soon enough )



Open to any suggestions, driver updates, anything really. If you need any other stats/logs/whatever, let me know and I'll provide them asap! Thank you so much in advance!

Tried messenger for camera....

Normally, the issue with the camera not being detected is caused by an outdated driver or a recent update triggers a system conflict. To assist you with your concern, we suggest that you follow the steps listed on this
link. This is to identify and resolve any issues if Windows
can't detect the device.

Web Camera is not working

Hello

I assume by your comment "black screen appears in video call", you are experiencing problems in other camera apps as well, possibly Skype. If your camera isn't working in any applications this is indicative of a camera driver issue. Please try the steps
listed here to resolve your issue:

If your issue isn't resolved after running the steps, please report back with your camera make and model and the driver information you aquire from step 3.

No Camera

Hi Franci,

There are different reasons why your computer is not detecting your camera. For us to determine what's causing the issue, we'd like to know the following:

• When did the issue start?
• Have you made any changes on your computer prior to this issue?
• Is this an issue with the camera app or a web camera device?
• What was the exact error code/message that you received?
• What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?
