Windows 10: Web Camera not detecting in Windows 10

My webcamera has stopped working. None of my apps like Camera,Skype can access the webcam. It is also not showing in device manager. Kindly suggest what to do. Below I have attached my PC details and device manager. I have an Asus Vivobook 14 with model no-X412DA.

Web Camera is not working

I assume by your comment "black screen appears in video call", you are experiencing problems in other camera apps as well, possibly Skype. If your camera isn't working in any applications this is indicative of a camera driver issue. Please try the steps
listed here to resolve your issue:

If your issue isn't resolved after running the steps, please report back with your camera make and model and the driver information you aquire from step 3.

my camera disappeared with Windows 10 update

I appreciate for trying the troubleshooting steps for resolving the issue, as a next step I would suggest you to follow the below method and check if it helps.

An outdated or incompatible driver can cause this problem. As an initial step, I suggest you to visit the manufacturer website and install the latest driver for Windows 10.

If the driver for Windows 10 is unavailable, you may install the latest driver in compatibility mode.



Compatibility mode runs the program using settings from a previous version of Windows.

Follow the below steps:

• Right-click
  on the setup file of the driver and select Properties.
• Select Compatibility tab.
• Place a check mark next to
  Run this program in Compatibility mode and select previous version of Windows from the drop down list.
• Let the driver install and then check the functionality.
