Windows 10: Web credentials manager related

Can anybody tell me what is the actual meaning of web credentials manager in windows and is it normal windows automatically save passwords in web credentials manager and that is saved my account unknown. Is it a normal thing.

Let me conform that Credential Manager stores passwords that are either related to Microsoft account or web browsers to your PC.

- Which passwords are you referring to?

- Are they related to a particular web browser? (I.e. Microsoft Edge or Chrome or Internet Explorer)

If they are related to a web browser, then I suggest you to check by going manually to that particular web browser to see if the saved password is listed there.

To assist you better, I like to know; when you say program is gone from the list,
are you referring to Web credential program or credentials?

As per your query, I like to inform you that; when you select Remove under the specific credentials, it will remove the specific credential details. Since you have followed the correct steps to remove web credentials but the program is not available,
I suggest you to Run DISM commands and check if the Web credentials programs works.

Deployment Image Servicing and Management (DISM) is a new command line tool that you can use to service a Windows image or prepare a Windows PE image. The DISM tool replaces the Package Manager (pkgmgr.exe), PEimg, and Intlcfg tools.
DISM consolidates the functionality found in those three tools, as well as delivers new functionality to improve the experience of offline servicing.

Follow the steps to Run DISM Commands:

1) Press Windows + x on your keyboard.

2) Select Command prompt (Admin) to open Administrator Command Prompt .

3) In the Administrator: Command Prompt window, type the following commands. Press the Enter key after each command:

dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /scanhealth

dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth

Can we add new web credentials manually in credential manager in windows10 ? If yes then please mention steps to add credentials for web.

I understand the inconvenience you are facing. Let me help you in resolving the issue.

I would appreciate if you can provide us the following information to help us understand the issue better.

• When you say Web Credentials Folder, is it the Credential manager or in any other applications?
• Are you getting any error messages?
• Are you trying to access it to make changes or to add anything?

Follow the below steps and check if that helps.

• In the Credential Manager, under Web Credentials, you will be able to see all your stored web passwords. To see the passwords behind the asterisks mark, you can click on Show. Windows will ask you for your login password to verify
  your identity.
• 
  Once done, the password will be exposed. If you want, you can also remove the stored password/s by clicking on Remove.
  
• While you can add, backup, restore Windows Credentials, there is no way to add or edit Web Credentials. Microsoft recently enumerated the changes it incorporated in Password Policy and Autocomplete Forms in Internet Explorer 11,
  to reduce the confusion in users about their passwords being recalled on one site but not another. Check this post to see how Internet Explorer 11 now stores Passwords.
