Windows 10: Web fonts - rendering using a font that's not installed

Discus and support Web fonts - rendering using a font that's not installed in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; I've been trying to resolve an issue across all web browsers in my W11 system: certain fonts are rendering as Edwardian Script, which isn't even a font...     Web fonts - rendering using a font that's not installed


    I've been trying to resolve an issue across all web browsers in my W11 system: certain fonts are rendering as Edwardian Script, which isn't even a font that's presently on my system. When I inspect the font properties, font-family should be "Roboto" and "sans-serif," but across all browsers it renders as "Edwardian": I have: - tried changing all system fonts to Segoe UI Variable in the registry- deleted Edwardian Script; it no longer appears in the fonts folder, or the registry - changing the default fonts in the web browsers I'm a bit at a loss at this point, short of reinstalling Windows its
