    Webcam Dark


    This Gateway GWTN141-1 laptops webcam is dark I tried adjusting the brightness but has only improved slightly. There seems to be no other driver than the Microsoft installed driver. That may or may not be what the problem is but if anybody knows if this is a problem with or without a fix? Also wondering why, it is described as a USB Camera? Wondering also if this laptop is like an equal to a Chromebook?

    Hello. I am currently on an HP Windows 10 PC. My webcam is very dark, and I think it has something to do with Cyberlink youcam or something along those lines. It came pre-installed with my Windows PC, but last time I refreshed my PC it uninstalled and
    I can't install it without paying. Is there anyway I can get the program for free so I can fix my webcam?

    Webcam had disappeared

    Hi,

    The webcam may have stopped working due to hardware failure, or a loose cable that connects it to the device’s motherboard. We suggest that you try to show hidden devices in
    Device Manager by following these steps:

    • Right-click on the Start menu and select Device Manager.
    • Click on the View tab and select Show hidden devices.

    If you are seeing the webcam drivers, uninstall them. Then restart your device to check if Windows will be able to recognize the webcam and will install the drivers.
