Windows 10: Webcam Driver

Hello,


I disabled my camera driver a few months ago because of privacy reasons, but when I came back to try to re-enable it I can't find it anymore on the device manager. I also tried reinstalling the webcam driver but I cannot find the driver for my pc (ASUS VivoBook S410UN). Please give me instructions on how to fix this ;-;

• Run the troubleshooter for Windows apps.
• Install the driver using the compatibility mode.

I would suggest that you follow the steps mentioned below and check if you are able to rectify the issue.

Step 1:

Un-install/remove all the previous webcam driver software that are located in your PC.

Step 2: Go to Device Manager and follow the procedure below.

• Click on the Start button, and type “Device Manager” on the search bar.
• Open Device Manager, double click and expand Webcam
• Right-click the device, and click Uninstall.
• Windows will prompt you to confirm the device’s removal. Click
  OK to remove the driver.
• After the uninstallation is complete, reboot your computer.
• After you have successfully uninstalled the driver, please go to the computer manufacturer’s website, download the Windows 10 driver for your computer and check.

This can occur when the driver is outdated or corrupted. What other steps have you tried so far to troubleshoot the issue. To isolate your concern, we recommend checking the driver in the Hidden Devices section on Device Manager. Kindly follow the steps
below:

• Press Windows key + X and select
  Device Manager.
• Click on View and select Show Hidden
  Devices.
• Check for the webcam under Imaging Devices.
• If the webcam is listed, then right-click on it and select Update
  Driver Software.
• Select Browse My Computer for Driver Software and follow the prompted steps.
