Windows 10: Webcam image quality Lenovo 80r9

Hi.

I have a Lenovo 80r9. My webcam image quality is not satisfactory. What suggestions do you all have to improve the quality?

Imaging Devices missing in Device Manager and Webcam doesn't working

Hi,

Since you mentioned that the said driver is missing in Device Manager, what we suggest is for you to check in the Hidden Devices section on Device Manager. Kindly follow the steps below:

• On the desktop, press Windows key + X and select
  Device Manager.
• Click on View and select
  Show Hidden Devices.
• Check for the webcam under Imaging Devices.
• If the webcam is listed, then right-click on it and select
  Update Driver Software
• Select Browse My Computer for Driver Software and follow the prompted steps.

Cannot find webcam

My Lenovo laptop has lost it's webcam! I get error message 0xA00F4244(0XC00D36D5). I have the tried toubleshooting advice given to resolve this but there is no reference to Imaging software in the list displayed. Other solutions suggest locating the driver
in the Device Manager but I can find no driver at all relating to my webcam so cannot follow this advice. Please can anyone help?

 

Integrated webcam poor image quality after win 10 install

I face the same issue with recent Win10 update. The problem is that there is no separate driver for integrated WebCam (I have ASUS N550JV notebook and it uses Microsoft UVC 2.0 driver for integrated webcam).

Since hardware was not changed, was not disconnected, the only issue is with the driver.

BTW, immediately after upgrade I had problem that camera was not recognized by system at all. Now I fixed this using some magic (dozens of uninstall device -> scan for hardware changes -> reboot).

Before update I had "USB2.0 UVC HD Webcam" in device list.

With HardwareID: USB\VID_13D3&PID_5188&REV_0814&MI_00

Now this device is disabled

After update I have "USB Camera" device with totally different HardwareID: USB\VID_0BDA&PID_5821&REV_0106&MI_00

And the video quality is now awful (before update it was not perfect but totally Ok for video calls and chats). You can see sample of current image quality below.
