Windows 10: Webcam not working on ASUS Q550LF with Windows 10

My internal webcam/camera does not seem to be noticed on Windows 10 it's also often missing from the Device Manager. I have checked to see that I have the latest drivers installed, I have updated Windows 10 to the most recent version Build 18363, and have verified that I have it set that my webcam should be noticed by apps.


Can anyone help with this?

ASUS Q550LF Nvidia Driver Windows 10 Update Fix

The version .211 from asus website worked for me. You might want to check with ASUS if this is the right version for you. I just followed the steps as described by the original poster.

2. What is the exact error message you are getting?
   
3. What is version of Windows 10 that is installed on your device?

ASUS Q550LF Nvidia Driver Windows 10 Update Fix

Thank you for posting. It is the 2nd time I have the same issue with NVIDIA GeForce 745M card in my ASUS Q550LF and the method you described worked wonderfully for me.

Note: I don't have KB2267602 on my Windows Update list so another update might be causing this issue too. Further investigation is still needed.

UPDATE (09/2016): The issue comes up from time to time for me either when I get a BSOD related to the NVIDIA graphic card or a major Windows update. The method described previously by the OP seemed to work again.
