Windows 10: WebP Photos Properties Editing in Windows 10 Gives Error.

When I try to edit the properties of WebP photos like add comment etc in Windows 10, it returns an error every time and I can't save the edited properties.Error: 1 Interrupted Action.An unexpected error is keeping you from applying properties to this file. If you continue receiving this error, you can use the error code to search for help with this problem.Error 0x80040154: Class not registeredTry Again Skip CancelI can only Skip or Cancel here. I have even installed the WebP codec for Windows 10 version 0.19.9.0. Still doesn't solve the problem. My Windows 10 is fully auto updated to

Windows 10, Outlook 2016 and quick preview for .webp files

I do not known what happen recently but I guess it is related to a windows update.

I was able to quick preview .webp file attachment in outlook 2016, but all of sudden, it is not working anymore.

My file association are now associate with Google Chrome.

I was expecting to see Microsoft Photo in the list of available application to open the .webp files but it not listed.

Any suggestion?

You can use Microsoft Photos to see .webp files. Just set Photos as the default app for .webp files in the File Properties.

Right-click on the file, choose "Properties" and you'll have the option to change the default app by clicking on the "Change" button.

Open WebP images on Photos app

Photos support WebP very well on my other device, but I dont know why I can not choose to open webp format on Photos. and already shows in windows photo viewer..
