Windows 10: Website blocking does not work and I know why

    Website blocking does not work and I know why


    I have added the domains of some websites under the "always blocked" tab.


    Here is what happens:


    1. I add a domain.

    2. Before leaving this page, the domain is added and the link on the bottom left hand side of the picture seems right, meaning the target website is right.

    3. HOWEVER, when I reload the page or leave it, the system adds an extra "http" and prevents itself from targeting the right page path.

    I have seen many useless suggestions on the forum like logging out and logging in back again, switching the PC on/off or things like these. The problem is systemic. It is Microsoft that is supposed to fix the problem. Not the users.


    So, Microsoft, thank you for this service of yours I like it but could you please fix this problem?

    How to Block Websites

    I have googled a bit and found software that can be used to block websites on a computer. I also found another way by using Windows which I would prefer. My problem is I must be doing something wrong. Here is the site that has the steps.

    It is still a text file. And it does not block the website. I cannot do what you suggested by saving to docs and changing name. But at least its in the folder. Now how to make it work.
