  1. Websites I visit regularly don't recognize me

None of the sites I visit regularly MailChimp, PayPal, Amazon, etc recognize me when I visit -- and frequently ask for a verification of some sort. This is not the 2-step, this is the first step! This just just started happening a couple of months ago. I've reviewed Firefox and everything is in order there. I am pretty sure it's a Microsoft update. Please tell me how to work on whatever Microsoft has done. Thank you.

    :)

Recommendation for legitimate website check please

With Defender, Malwarebytes and just the browser's built in security, you should be fine.

Seriously though... get some backup software and use it religiously.

Macrium has a free version which has the ability to make bootable media, so you can access your backups, even when Windows won't boot.

Sorting the Edge's frequently visited sites

Thanks for the time, Parth. You explain how to show the most visited sites. This I know. I've asked how to sort them, , and you do not address my question.
