  1. Weird behavior when deleting audio files

So I was looking for a audio file that I am planning on using for a project when I noticed quite a few audio files I had no need for and when I went to delete them I got warnings about deleting album covers which I didn't even knew existed and I know weren't selected they also said they were system files and cycled a few times to when I skipped . does anyone know what is causing this ? At this time I am running a security scan and tried deleting similar files but it didn't produce the same effect .

    :)

    System restore - weird behavior

    Before deletion:

    current usage: 8.62 GB
    free space: 35.2 GB
    "vssadmin list shadows"
    1 shadow copy found
    "vssadmin delete shadows /For=C: /all"
    1 shadow copy deleted

    After deletion:

    current usage: 8.62 GB
    free space: 35.2 GB
    "vssadmin list shadows"
    0 shadow copies found

Clearly there's something wrong. I just ran this a minute ago. I currently have no shadow copies according to system restore, ccleaner, and "vssadmin list shadows". Yet it still shows current usage: 8.62 GB and my free space has not gone down. What is going on here?

Right now, system restore is disabled. It lists OFF. "Disable system protection" is ticked. Yet it still says current usage: 8.62 GB!

  3. Cant Delete Files From Desktop

Well, ran into a weird bug with vista, for some reason i cant delete files from desktop, this normaly happens to .exe files, the ONLY fix seems to be to KILL explorer.exe, and delete the file, then restat explorer, anybody got any idea why this happens?

    deleting hard drive files

    Hi,

May we know what type of file are you trying to delete? Would it be Office documents, media files, or picture files? If you're trying to delete files for free some space on your device. We suggest to perform a Disc Cleanup. Kindly follow the steps below to
    perform the task:

    • Type in Cortana Disc Cleanup
    • Choose the files to delete
    • Click on "Clean up system files"
    • Click on Ok

For any concerns, don't hesitate to get back to us.

    Regards.
