    Weird BSODs after BIOS update


    I wanted to update my machine so I downloaded the newest BIOS from manufacturer's site and flashed it. When I booted into Windows 10 I saw some strange stuttering. When the startup programs were loading my cursor was lagging hard and after a while the screen froze. Few seconds in that condition and BSOD. It repeated a few times. I tried reinstalling graphics drivers a few times in different versions (using DDU), but it didn't help. It only works stable when I somehow manage to disable Nvidia graphics card (for example in safe mode).

    Thanks Sher. I fixed the issue after updating the BIOS. I used Dell SupportAssist to update BIOS. During the update I did get the IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error which resulted in another BSOD but that didn't stop the update.

    BSOD Machine Check Exception

    SOLVED

    All I had to do was update my BIOS. Apparently Machine Check Exception for this MSI is related to the BIOS and after update the BSOD disappeared!

    Weird BSODs after BIOS update

    Clean install didn't help. After installing Nvidia drivers the problem came back. I will upload fresh dump later.
