Windows 10: Weird Controller Lag

I’m experiencing strange input lag with multiple controllers on Windows 10. I have two controllers: the Logitech F710 wireless via dongle and the SteelSeries Stratus XL Bluetooth. I have no problems using either of these on my Windows 8.1 laptop. But on my Windows 10 PC, the sync will be fine for a minute or so and then slide out of sync to where it will take several seconds to respond. The sync will go back to normal if I reconnect but only for a minute and then repeat itself again.


I see that this is a problem that some others have reported too. Is there any solution so far?

Random lag spikes

We would like to know more about your lag issue:

• What browser are you using when you experience a lag?
• Does the lag occur in a particular game?

In the meantime, we suggest you run the System Maintenance troubleshooter. Here are the steps:

• Press Windows Key + X.
• Click on Control Panel.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• On the left pane, click on View All.
• Click on System Maintenance to run the troubleshooter.

Mouse and controller lagging, beeping and not working

So when you installed the logitech driver it worked better, then a couple of days later back to lagging. In this interval did you plug in your PS3 controller? (Trying to id source of problem.)

I saw you said the driver was installed but is it the same version as when you manually installed it. Windows maintenance is constantly helping (???) and will update you regardless of whether you are having and issue.

Is this wired mouse being plugged into USB 2 or USB 3.0. Might be a stretch but I've seen a lot of members suggesting some slower devices work better in a 2.0 port.

Under mouse and pointers in Device Manager how many devices are listed. I'm think two but your PS3 could make it three.

When your mouse starts acting up is task manager reporting any category over 60% (CPU, Memory, Disk, Network)?

Fixed fan controls yes. Annoying profiles yes. Buggy code yes.

I'd rather just set it and forget it as the feature list of RBE suggested it was capable of doing.
