Windows 10: Weird experience resetting Windows 10, please help

I did a reset and chose to fully clean the drive. The first attempt took about 30 minutes until I got a message saying not all of my personal files could be removed. There was still about 200gb of data in the Windows.old folder. So I did another one and it took about the same amount of time and I got the same message. But this time my hard drive space indicates there are no files left over. There are still some Windows system files in the new Windows.old folder but that’s it.

Should I trust that this was a full reset? I’m not able to delete those Windows old folders which is kind of driving me crazy. I suspect that I had a virus which is why I reset the PC. I really don’t want to have to use a Windows ISO file and install from scratch.

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

Thank you john for all of your help i decided to get the usb my computer came with and factory reset it i didnt have anything that personal or valueable so its ok thanks for the help though i appreciate it
