  1. Weird Flash-Skip when trying to install Anniversary Update

So this is very frustrating... I'm trying to install the anniversary update, and used the upgrade assistant. But when it restarts, it flashes for just a second the update screen, then shuts off and restarts again and loads without the update...

Any idea what I did wrong? I even reset the PC and it's still causing issues...

    Any help would be appreciated.*Sad

    :)

Still unable to get the 1607 Update

Possibly skip the 1607 Anniversary Update and go straight to the Creators Upgrade (1703) -

to download the ISO using the Media Creation Tool and upgrade from the ISO - it will be more reliable than the Update Assistant!

Using the tool, choose 'Create Installation Media for another PC, then when asked choose 'Create ISO' instead of USB Flash Drive. Then when the ISO is downloaded, double click it to mount it and start the upgrade by opening Setup.exe

  4. Weird Flash-Skip when trying to install Anniversary Update

Update: I got it to work by installing from bootable media, aka I had to remove all of my files from my SSD. Removing the second hard drive didn't fix it...

Hi, i've the same issue and i also have 2 hard disk with Primary SSD one and secondary HDD.
So you did a clean installation? What do you mean with "I had to remove all of my files from my SSD": can't you update but only reinstall OS?

    Thanks for help
